Jitter Juice

No matter how old you are, and whether you are the teacher or the student, everyone always gets those first day jitters!!!! So today we read a book called "First Day Jitters" and talked about what we felt nervous about today! Then we had "jitter juice"!!!! The kids loved it and it totally got rid of all of our jitters!!!! It was like magic - and delicious too!!

Can't wait for another day with all of you tomorrow! :)

Welcome Back

Welcome back everyone! I hope everyone had a great two weeks off and got to enjoy spending lots of time with your family and friends! I sure did!

Just a few reminders:

Next Wednesday we will be starting "Word Problem Wednesday"! Your child will have a math word problem to complete at home using pictures, numbers and words! Bring it back on Thursday and get a BUGS sticker!

Also, every morning I have my students do a simple activity during announcements and the first 15 minutes of settling in, attendance and agendas! I have been noticing some students socializing and not getting started right away! So I have made a new rule! If you do not get finished in that 15 minutes it will be homework! I will send it home with "Homework" in highlighter so you know it needs to be returned! Needless to say, after I told them the rule today I had a lot more handed in! Haha!

Also, I will be sending home some work from Term 1. As we get ready for report cards and Term 2, we will be doing some housekeeping and cleaning up!

Thanks so much!

Mrs. Murray :)
